To start designing my logo I drew out a few designs and experimented with shapes and structure.
I used elements of symbols that can be associated with photography in all these designs – cameras and shutters. Theses experiments led me to a design I felt happy with (image on the right). This logo incorporates my initials into a camera with the ‘b’ creating the lens and the ‘h’ creating a tripod.
Once I had created this initial design I wanted to clean it up a bit so I did a second drawing:
This looked leaner and better overall because I had sent more time on it. I then scanned this into my computer so I could make a digital version on Adobe Illustartor.

I wanted to keep the appearance that it was sketch like so left some rough edges in. I also added a touch of colour to make my logo more eye catching.
